Clients and deployment options
CercaPosta provides web, mobile and desktop access to the same server-side archive. Cloud or on-premises deployment determines where the installation runs; the client determines how you use it. Available features also depend on client version, configuration, permissions and the plan assigned to your account.
Clients
Scroll the table horizontally to read every column.
| Client | Platforms | Main use |
|---|---|---|
| Web | Browser | Search, AI chat, reading, imports and configuration |
| Mobile | iOS and Android | Search, AI chat, attachments, notifications and reply tracking |
| Desktop | Windows and Linux | Archive browsing, search, AI chat and notifications |
Apps use the configured CercaPosta server and are not independent offline archives. Sharing is managed from the web; clients read authorised content. Consult your service or administrator for distribution options and a suitable version: this table does not imply availability in every app store.
Deployment
Scroll the table horizontally to read every column.
| Option | Infrastructure | Items to define |
|---|---|---|
| Managed cloud | Service environment | Plan, storage, users, services and conditions |
| On-premises | Infrastructure chosen by the organisation | Resources, network, backups, maintenance and support |
The stack deploys with Docker and maintains compatibility with amd64 and arm64 architectures; check image availability for the selected release and architecture. Sizing depends on archive volume, attachments, OCR, users and AI workload: there is no universal hardware requirement listed here.
AI services
Chat, embedding and reranking have configurable endpoints. They can use local, private or managed services compatible with the required APIs. An on-premises archive server does not automatically mean the model is local too: check every configured endpoint.
Allowances and conditions
AI allowances can include time windows and plan-specific conditions. Do not assume a fixed daily limit: check the plans and your in-app usage. The selection guide helps compare operational responsibilities.
